Nicaragua Sport Fishing Charter Boats
The lack of fishing pressure in Nicaragua is evident once you begin looking for a boat to charter. Much of Nicaragua's fishing is done inland where the snook and tarpon, among other fish, find their way up the San Juan River to Lake Nicaragua. These are record class fisheries with tarpon reaching the 200 pound mark and snook in the 30+ range not being uncommon.
The Pacific coast receives little offshore pressure as many of the operations are surf/fishing outfits with pangas that don't venture far from land unless the fishing is close and the seas calm.
